Playtime, Dentist & Charity

Daddy had molar pulled this week. The kids came with mommy and daddy to the dentist and played their Leapsters in the waiting room. Other kids came over and checked it out, and our kids shared their leapsters with everyone! It was really cute.

Daddy had the day off, but instead of moping around he decided to have a fun day with the family. So we went to the car wash and daddy washed the car while mommy and the kids sat inside the car. Brooke and Jaycen loved the sudsy brush!

Then mommy got a planter kit from Wal-Mart (with daddy’s help *smile*) and it came with soil pellets and herb seeds—sweet basil, parsley, and chives. The kids helped me plant their ‘babies’ into the soil. They were both so excited and had a lot of fun doing it. This morning I converted a V-8 Jug into a ‘watering can’…took off the label, put it through the dishwasher, and hammered some holes into the lid. Just fill with water and jiggle it over the plants! The kids loved it.

Daddy’s molar hole is healing—we’re happy for that. He’s been such a good daddy. He got so many things for the kids, including another Playmobil set (a huge pirate ship with sails!) and a Dinosaur excavation kit. We’re hoping to do that one together soon. Jaycen is excited for it.

Grandma came over on Wednesday and helped Brooke and Jaycen color some paper which was going to made into placemats for kids at the hospital. Brooke drew a rainbow, house, grass, a bunny and a bird.

Jaycen drew our house, a dead bee (which he found a few days ago on our porch), popped tires, and ‘flower owies’ (thorns). Grandma helped him add some color with a few flowers and the sun. Jaycen gave the sun a nose.

Brooke and Jaycen were very proud of their pictures, and so were mommy and Grandma. *smile*

We’re hoping for a good weekend! Tomorrow we have plans for the library and more outdoors time, even though the temperature has dropped to the 50’s again. The kids have had fun with the sunshine though, playing outside with the neighbor kids and drawing on the sidewalk some more with their chalk.
