S’mores & Snails and Outdoor Fun!

The kids have been getting a lot of outdoors time. As the days have progressed, we’ve all become more creative with outdoor play. Brooke brought her plastic animals outside, started pretending the different things she saw came from fairies, and even tried to climb the trees.

Jaycen tends to play a bit more solo. He found some spare hot wheel cars in one of the toy bins under the stairs and enjoyed spending a lot of time crashing them off of ledges. He gets really hurt when he feels like no one wants to play with him. Poor little guy.

Both of the kids got a lot of playtime with their neighbor friend, which was awesome. They played horses and jump rope, and went looking for bugs. Our kids beg her to come outside every day now.

Over the weekend we relaxed quite a bit and watched another Superman movie and some X-men cartoons (our family loves fantasy and super heroes!). The kids got to play outside a bit, Jaycen went with daddy on a special run to Blockbuster and got a gumball, and mommy helped Brooke & Jaycen make S’mores with Brooke’s Easy Bake to take to Grandpa on Saturday. That was fun. We went for a walk in Grandpa’s garden and saw four snails!

Over all, I’m really glad that I’m getting back into the swing of all of us going outside. It’s a lot of fun! Have a great week everyone, and we’ll see you again soon.
